This is the ER Sit Rep Message Exchange Board. Here’s the heart of ERSITREP, where you deal with Topics and Messages.
A “Topic” is any group of Messages based on the subject of the Topic. Any member of the ERSITREP Board can create a new Topic, and post a message in it. Topics are listed from recent (such as “Disaster Usage of this Forum” at the top of the gray box) to oldest, (such as “Test of ERSITREP System” at the bottom). If you click on a topic name, it brings you into that specific topic’s main message as well as anyone’s reply messages on that topic.
A “Message” is a single posting by an individual under a specific Topic. Any number of messages can gather by registered users under a topic (a “thread”), replying to any previous message under that topic. Just click the POSTREPLY command to post your reply message under the Topic.
BLACKHAWK EMPOWERED TO MANAGE, EDIT, LOCK, REMOVE USER MESSAGES
Clicking the icons at top of a message allow functions. For instance, clicking the triangle “?” allows Blackhawk as the “Manager” of the ERSITREP Board to edit, lock, remove messages as desired. Note: As a “basic user” I can edit my own messages, but as a “Manager User” I can edit everyone’s messages. See panel below.
If “Messages Need Approval” is enabled, after a basic user posts a message, it doesn’t show up until the Manager logs in and approves it. Then it is visible to the basic users. Otherwise messages are visible as soon as they are posted.
The Blackhawk ERSITREP Message Board is for use during emergency situations, such as hurricanes that cause electrical power or phone lines to go down. In these circumstances, Blackhawk can still communicate with its security personnel and its clients over the internet, no matter where in the country they are temporarily displaced to.
